Challenge
Nottingham-based mobility start-up WAU looked to Tank to help it make an impact when launching its tech-laden e-bike. Its team approached us to attract the attention it needed to build its local profile and communicate the benefits of commenting by bike.
Solution
Tank created a campaign targeted at drivers frustrated with the city’s rush-hour gridlock. By leveraging the traffic-beating nature of WAU’s new bike as a hook, our team was able to achieve widespread local coverage for the bike’s launch, including a crucial spot on BBC Radio Nottingham’s breakfast show.
Results
Our outreach resulted in several stories across multiple local broadcast, print and online titles. As a result of this coverage, we drove significant local brand awareness, resulting in an uplift in sales of over 130 bikes and £340,000 in revenue in one week.
