TANK LAUNCHES COMMUNITY SCHEME WITH BROADWAY CINEMA AND NOTTS PRIDE

Nottingham-based digital marketing and PR agency, Tank, has launched a new community initiative, designed to provide free marketing support to local organisations and charities that make a real difference to their communities.
The scheme, named ‘ThANKs’ (a play on Tank’s own brand name), will see the team of brand PR, digital PR, digital, and content experts offer 50 hours of free marketing support to one charity, organisation, or group every six months. The aim is to give back and help Tank’s wider community to really make its mark.
For its launch, Tank will be doubling up on activity and has selected two organisations to support for the first six-months of the scheme: Broadway Cinema and Notts Pride.
Broadway Cinema has been chosen as a ThANKs community partner, because of its on-going support for Nottingham’s creative sector, and will benefit from a tailored package of PR and digital marketing expertise. Nationally recognised as the cultural leader for independent cinema, arts, and technology in the Midlands, Broadway is a registered charity and has been a cornerstone of Nottingham’s creative scene for decades.
Stewart Terry, director of marketing and communications at Broadway Cinema, said:
“We are incredibly grateful to be a beneficiary of the ThANKs initiative. As a charity, we rely on support from our community, and this collaboration with Tank will help us continue our mission to bring world-class independent cinema and creative opportunities to the region.”
Notts Pride, which works to champion and support the LGBTQ+ community in Nottingham, will also receive dedicated support over the next six months. Tank’s involvement will help amplify Pride’s message and events, ensuring even more people across the region can engage with and celebrate Nottingham’s diverse LGBTQ+ community.
Craig Martin, vice chairperson at Notts Pride, said:
“We’re thrilled to be part of the ThANKs initiative and to receive support from Tank. Pride is all about visibility, inclusion, and community, and with Tank’s expertise, we can reach more people, strengthen our impact, and ensure Notts Pride continues to be a powerful platform for LGBTQ+ voices.”
Martin Stone, managing director at Tank, added:
“Relationships are at the core of everything we do at Tank, and ThANKs is our way of giving back to the community that has supported us. Both Broadway Cinema and Notts Pride are organisations that enrich Nottingham in unique and meaningful ways and are close to our heart at Tank. The team is excited to play a small role in helping them reach even more people.”
Last year, Tank achieved its highest-ever ranking in the PR industry’s most prestigious league table – the PR Week Agency Business Report 2024. Breaking into the UK’s Top 150 Consultancies list, which determines the top performers out of thousands of agencies, Tank ranked at 143rd position overall – the highest ranking agency in the East Midlands
Applications for the next round of ThANKs – starting in July – are now open, and any charities, organisations, or groups that are interested are being asked to email community@tank.co.uk for details on how to apply.
